More on UK torture.
A while ago yours truly attended an event where Jack Straw took a side-swipe at David Blunkett for being being too hardline a Home Office Minister. Now our former Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Craig Murray claims that Straw:
"has abandoned all pretence of an ethical foreign policy, and the government’s condemnation of torture “doesn’t mean anything”"
(Sunday Herald) - and -
"Britain is using information obtained from torture to imprison people indefinitely.
So convinced is he of the truth of this and other claims that he plans to stand against his former employer, the Foreign Secretary, Jack Straw, at the general election". (Independent).
You may recall about a week ago. I mentioned File on 4's documentary on Britain giving the USA intelligence to kidnap and torture suspects. The transcript is now online (.Pdf 74K).
I wonder what Bloggers4Labour think about this?

(Tim pointed out the Sunday Herald item).
